A room full of coked-up screenwriters and producers shouting WHAT IF over each other. That has to have been the genesis of the Keanu Reeves / Sandra Bullock vehicle SPEED, a movie where Keanu does things with a bus you didn’t think possible, all while Sandy shamelessly flirts with him despite being surrounded by tragedy and death. Why did critics love this film? Was it that it moved too fast for them to pick up on all the plot-holes? Listen to Alex and Julio slow things down in order to tear this thing apart and set the Tomatometer straight once again!

- A year later, Alex has finally watched COCO. Maybe you should revisit it too!
- Julio continues enjoying his trip down Nicole Holofcener’s filmography. FRIENDS WITH MONEY was just as delightful as all her other movies.
- Hans Rothgiesser, the man behind our logo, can be reached at @mildemonios on Twitter or you can email him at firstname.lastname@example.org in case you ever need a logo (or comics) produced. And you can listen to him talk about Peruvian politics on his own podcast, NACION COMBI.
Up next, we start our Awards Season by tackling a Razzie Winner, the Affleck/J-Lo vehicle GIGLI! Until then, let us know what you think of Speed! Was it the peak of Jan DeBont’s career? Did Keany and Sandy set a new standard for romantic couples on screen? E-mail us at email@example.com or tweet at us or facebook us and share your thoughts!
